Hi. I’m Walt Stanley and I own and operate Brookside Woodworking, a custom woodworking shop located in the Vermont countryside. In here I design and build furniture and cabinetry to the highest standards. I work alone but my wife, Michele helps out when i need it and she has a good eye for design. I am a member and past president of the Guild of Vermont Furnituremakers. I am entirely self taught, although I have, and still do occasionally, work in other shops. I have been a full time furnituremaker for 15 years and I also drive a school bus. I started doing this when I lost my last job driving truck and kind of got attached to the kids. I am also a fanatical cyclist and I ride between 5,000 and 7,000 miles a year. Feel free to comment about what is posted. I like to hear what people are thinking.
